Château De Tournepuits In French Commune Of Guînes Destroyed With New Design

A château has been severely defaced in a €2.8 million project. It had been abandoned until recently, when a French association specialising in social and ecological construction decided to change it.

A timber-framed extension to replace the old roof structure, which had been damaged, and an additional floor, were insulated with straw bales. Considered a restoration, it was partially financed by the National Housing Agency, the Regional Council, and insurance companies.
